"Western Role" by Viking Moses
I played the role in a western town. Passed it off like I was good at talking loud. Now I stand with the sand in my right hand pouring so rapidly into the left. Pouring without mercy into the left!
It's been a month since last I was here, yet every time you see I've seemed to age another year. Push back your hair and give up what you wear for a while, yeah, you know what to do! It's times like these you know what to do.
They roll their sleeves to a breakfast mess while they wear their homes across their chests. And I wear my home across my chest, too. I wear my home just like they do! Sure, I know that it lies east of here. And sure, I know the means that brought me here. The same means that just might keep me here.

"Keep Still From Traveling" by Viking Moses
Bring her around again, and I will keep still these wandering eyes from traveling through wilderness thighs. And you know it's beautiful when you take that second look at us, there's trust when you get up to leave to the bathroom, to the kitchen for drinks, while the laughs and the grabs lay hidden in the sink.
Bring her around again, and I will keep still these wandering hands from traveling through welcoming lands: lands of free enterprise, lands of a modern world disguise, and lands of the pink. And you know it's beautiful when you take that second look at us, there's trust when you get up to leave lands of free enterprise, lands of a modern world disguise, and lands of the pink, while the laughs and the grabs lay hidden in the sink.

"Parting Halves" by Viking Moses
Is there that which can be so good as a moving night on foot through a lightless neighborhood with nothing more than two souls to display?
Hers was that of foreign class, coming rain, or scattered pasts. Mine was more of parting halves, doubling as they tore themselves away.
Fancy, there are all these ways, on her back, or on one leg, but dreams die often when one stays fixed upon a perfect thing to say.

"Precious Things" by Viking Moses
In a way most beautifully thought, you are the piss in a poor man's pot, and although you're all he's got, he just pours you away. You are the places that he's been. You are his interrupted dream. Yet you are what I try to mean when I fumble out the things I say.
In a way most beautifully said, you are the time that one gets head in an antique field of dead among old heroes and her family. The end of someone's pain, the murderer's new fame, the faith in what one prays for: you're what's loved in something tragic!
In a way most beautifully meant, you are the precious things we'd spent from heirlooms to skipped rent for a moment come and went.

"Departure Bid" by Viking Moses
Don't laugh, and don't keep a rose in your hair. And don't cry now that the summer has upped and left you behind. And don't breathe if you know that I'll just pass it on to you. And don't mix the things in me you want with what you knew, with what you knew about me.
Don't stand half an arm away with an open hand. And don't break the stare that I saw you make when I stare right back. Don't expect of me to think, and I won't expect from you to understand when I do the things I do, when I do the things I do to stay afloat.

"Winter In New England" by Viking Moses
O, so, so much snow blanketing the land in cold. Bring a life, so life is full when traveling where you are.
O, so, so much snow, it never really seemed that cold with spirit up and stomach full and traveling where you are.
O, I'll miss the snow, since the wonderful things are living life out of a car, and so a dream is sent and far.
