Is there that which can be so good as a moving night on foot through a lightless neighborhood with nothing more than two souls to display?

Hers was that of foreign class, coming rain, or scattered pasts. Mine was more of parting halves, doubling as they tore themselves away.

Fancy, there are all these ways, on her back, or on one leg, but dreams die often when one stays fixed upon a perfect thing to say.
